2pl2.com is a place on the Web where our family and friends can gather to catch up the news and events in each others lives. Our families are spread all over the US, and across the globe. The Portal Lounge is our cyber link. You can read more about the Portal Lounge in the About Us section.
The site was originally intended to be titled, portallounge.com. Unfortunately, that URL was taken, as was portallounge2.com and other like names containing portal lounge. Ergo, the evolution of 2pl2.com.
That said, the next obvious question follows, but where did the name "Portal Lounge" come from? Well, the Portal Lounge is an imaginary place. It began as a quip, describing a place my sweetheart and I would go to escape the stresses of everyday life. In reality it was a very ordinary little apartment, but we would fill it with the flavors of a great meal and a bottle of wine, the music of our whim or a good movie, and it became the Portal Lounge.
